Mission Statement
I became interested in Fuchs’ Friends mission of connecting through firsthand experiences and research to provide up to date information for corneal dystrophy patients due to my own recent diagnosis of Fuchs and surgical complications of Bullous Keratopathy following cataract surgery with impeding corneal transplant in my future.
These are incredibly challenging circumstances and having a safe place to bring concerns and obtain correct information is admirable. Fuchs’ Friends stood out to me as an outstanding advocacy foundation, champions for a great fight when meeting making life altering decisions.
I am pleased to be part of this community with shared goals of current treatments; the A – team list of Surgeons making it happen and returning to the things we love.
