Clinical Trials
Information on current clinical trials is posted on the Internet at www.clinicaltrials.gov.
All studies receiving U.S. Government funding, and some supported by private industry, are posted on this government website. Clinical trials for any medical condition can be accessed at the site. There you will find any trials recruiting members; the ongoing status of the trial; as will as concluding results.
The above link can be used to find the status of any clinical trial. To find all trials regarding your particular corneal disease enter that disease and hit the search button. As an example, entering Fuchs leads to 92 studies currently being tracked by the government. Of those being tracked, 9 are currently recruiting new participants.
Of those 9, the Arion Biotech study is the most recent entry (04/08/2026), trial number NCT07368959. Some of our Fuchs Friends have been interested in their trial since our joint webinar with Dr. Christopher Sales in October 2024. If you are interested in more information on their study, Arion has given a couple of additional sites:
- Their study specific website is called Astra. You will find quite a bit of information there.
- Their latest press release from April 8,2026 can be found here: Our latest press release announcing the treatment of our first ASTRA patients: Aurion Biotech Doses First Patients in ASTRA Phase 3 Study, Evaluating AURN001 in Patients with Corneal Edema Secondary to Corneal Endothelial Dysfunction.
- The specific link to Aurion’s clinical trial listing is here clinicaltrials.gov: Study Details | NCT07368959 | AURN001 Efficacy in Participants With Corneal Edema Secondary to Corneal Endothelial Dysfunction | ClinicalTrials.gov
