     260 persons spoken to and have mailed or will be mailed Saliva & Document kits
     125 persons called multiple times, left voicemail) with no answer
     120 persons Emailed (only when subjectw were called multiple times with no answer)
       51 International subjects
         9 persons hung/no answer/don’t remember the study
         1 person Opted out of study
       15 persons Haven’t been contacted

Nov 30, 2015, More than 400 people have signed up for the study
registrants were called at least a second time (catching up for those who we didn't
          leave a message for on previous calls.)
     112 people have been called at least 3 times
       45 additional Saliva kits to be mailed during this week
July 31, 2015, Over 250 people have registered for the NIH Fuchs’ Dystrophy Study.
July 30, 2015, Noon Pacific Time  We had a slight issue with registration which has been corrected today, Friday, July 31, 2015.

This is an opportunity for you to participate in a
Fuchs' Corneal Endothelial Genetic Study
at The Shiley Eye Institute's Cornea Division in San Diego.

Principal Investigator: Natalie Afshari, MD, Professor and Chief of Cornea, Shiley Institute at UCSD
Basic qualifications for enrollment in this study:

  • You must have a diagnosis of Fuchs' Endothelial Dystrophy, a disease of the cornea.
  • You must not have previously enrolled in this study.

You will be contacted within after applying to participate in the study.
     Please be patient.  Shiley never expected to see so many people register at one time.

ou may be asked other questions at that time.
